Are you an Alpha Man? What is an Alpha Male?

If we want to become an Alpha Male, then maybe we should start by figuring out what it is. I don’t want to give a long, theoretical definition, so how about an example? Do you remember Crash Davis from the movie Bull Durham? He is a great example of an Alpha. Let’s look closer at a scene that sheds a little light on what I mean (if you haven’t seen the movie, first off, what planet have you been living on? And second, go rent it tonight).

The scene is in the beginning when Annie tells Crash and Meat that she only sleeps with one player a season and she gets to choose. Crash is having none of it and begins to walk out.

Annie Savoy: Oh, where are you going?
Crash Davis: After 12 years in the minor leagues, I don’t try out. Besides, uh, I don’t believe in quantum physics when it comes to matters of the heart.
Annie Savoy: What do you believe in, then?
Crash Davis: Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. Goodnight.

Now I want you to notice couple of things. First, Crash was having none of Annie’s nonsense. He started to walk out the door. Alpha men do not take the B.S. that women love to test men with. Crash knew that Annie was hot, but he also knew that there were other hot women out there and he would rather keep his dignity than listen to her ramblings.

Second, when Annie asked, “What do you believe in, then?” Crash had an answer. At some point in a relationship, a woman of quality will always ask a variation of this question. What are your passions? What do you believe in? What are your goals? Since an Alpha man is a man that knows what he wants and lives with passion and conviction, the answer will be easy. Crash knows what he believes in and states it with authority. You should too.

You see, all the pick-up lines and routines in the world will not help you unless you are confident, passionate and opinionated — and it shows. It not only shows, it radiates from you like a red, hot sun, leaving every woman within a 100 foot radius with sunstroke.

Oh, and notice what Annie’s reaction was. Do women react to you that way? Why not?
